So many great jams to explore but this album really revived Zeppelin towards the end and stands as a personal favorite. Trampled Under Foot also has some groovy and blues inspired keys in it which I find a perfect touch for the song. Houses of the Holy is a great tune, The Light, Kashmir and the upbeat and groovy Trampled Under Foot. Preferably the deluxe version which has rough mixes of the top songs on this album, all with similar vibes as the final versions but they offer sort of a gateway to explore how the songs formed into what they were on the album.
Physical Graffiti- I cant stress the amount of joy I get when I listen to this album. Whether it’s the amazing What is and What Should Never Be, the awesome Moby Dick (awesome Bonham solo) and the motivating Ramble on, this album packs a powerful rock punch. Also it stands out to me because of the amazing composition and musical talent that went into creating a rock n roll album that searches the many feels and types of rock. Led Zeppelin 2- I chose this album as my second favorite because it really has a strong place in music history as well as all Zeppelin albums. Fun fact: the reason they used the random picture on the front was because they wanted to prove to the studio that they could sell their album without pasting their faces and over marketing on the album. It was something new to me to see a rock band’s album look like some trippy book. The first time I saw this vinyl I just was left with so much interest in why the songs and art were so imaginative and abnormal. So many questions and a lot of curiosity surrounding the lyrics and artistic aspect. The awesome wizard in the inside watching over the village. I can’t say enough about this album, the cover art is so cool and yet so simple. While you get a mixture of different vibes from other songs that deliver a complete album. Most notably Battle of Evermore and Stairway to Heaven have really interesting lyrics. Led Zeppelin 4 - This album flows beautifully, amazing lyrical value with an imaginative and powerful storyline throughout some songs. Let me know what you guys think! Open to discussions Now this is obviously my opinion but I’ll give small reasoning why I ranked the albums in their spots. I have been thinking about what I think are their best albums ranked from best to worst. My hat is off to all involved, you should all be tremendously proud of creating a master piece which will, for all time, set in celluloid the legend of Led Zeppelin.Okay so I know many of you guys might not fully agree with my list but I have been a Zeppelin fan for a while and have listened to their albums countless times. It is brilliantly thought through with incredible attention paid to the emotional value of Led Zeppelin.
(I'd have to see it again to be sure though) Actually the mix is perfect. The sound mix is near perfect, I wouldn't change a thing although there was one song I would revisit where the guitar was noticeably lowered to accommodate Robert, this could be more subtle. Throughout the film I sat with my hands together as if in prayer, my body occasionally moving in time. The film is emotionally charged right out the gate and caused my eyes to well up through the first two songs. Visually the camera work and editing leaves nothing to be desired although I wouldn't have used those square CGI's they were an unnecessary distraction. Will definitely be going again and again to see this one. Thank you to Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones for showing up to introduce the film. Thank you to all involved for blowing the mind of a man who thought he'd seen and heard it all. The film is simply phenomenal, the sound out of this world. Just returned from seeing Led Zepplin's celebration day at Hammersmith Odeon.
